Hi! It's been a while since I last posted. I've had a lot of change going on this summer - both good and bad. I really wouldn't have guessed I'd be here right now when the bells tolled into 2012. Seems the wish I made - as I watched the fireworks over Edinburgh Castle in the Friendly Fires crowd - came true. Happiest I've been in ages. ♥
So, Dahlia have started releasing their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, and it's got me debating on which piece I'd like to invest in this season. Since I was 18 I've been toying with the idea of making an order but I always just end up in New Look wasting money on disposable fashion. With Dahlia, however, the quality and craftsmanship which goes into each piece makes them worth the purchase.. and less likely to end up in a wardrobe clear-out!
In Dahlia's words, their clothes are..
For girls who love to be unique and quirky, who's outlook on fashion and style is bordering the British eccentric and beautifully created.
Here's some looks which have caught my eye:
Their focus is on quintessentially English heritage military details mixed with their trademark girlie silhouettes. They've styled the majority of their looks with creepers or classic Doc Marten boots, which I'm not particularly that fussed by, personally. I think a nice pair of ankle boots will be just as effective come winter time! I saw on their Instagram the below sneak peek image and the tailored military coats look like the most alluring part of the collection.

Be quick if you're wanting to get free delivery(!) on an order, cause they're running the offer for the Bank Holiday weekend. Hope everyone enjoys their long weekend! Five years ago this weekend I did my first Leeds Festival, dragging people to see Good Shoes and staying up until 4am around a campfire. Time goes so quickly..
