The Bloggers Breast Cancer Awareness Raffle

22 October 2012

Hey guys!

I know a good few of you will already be aware of this fundraising raffle, on account of Sarah posting details of it on her blog and Twitter. But I thought, seeing as a few of my friends' family members are currently enduring the devastating effects this disease can throw at people, it would be helpful if I posted to increase awareness to anyone who may not already be aware, or who may have passed this one by in their blog-reader for any reason.

So, what's in it for you? Other than the opportunity to donate to a fantastic cause (!), Sarah has brought in lots of exciting prizes for raffle ticket-holders - with a little help from fellow high-profile bloggers. More details can be found on her blog under the TBBCAR tag, or on Twitter under the #TBBCAR hashtag.

And, are you a brand or trader wishing to donate prizes? Sarah is also looking for anybody who may be able to donate prizes for this event, so please contact her before Friday if this could be an option for you.

I hope to see all you bloggers coming together for this 24 hour event, starting Friday 26th October. Use your own presence in the blogosphere - spread the word on Twitter, Facebook and your own blogs so we can build maximum awareness and fundraising!

And once again, let's all try and fight against Breast Cancer..

xoxo

An Autumn Getaway

16 October 2012

Hey guys! How's everyone enjoying Autumn? Now the sun has dissipated and winter is drawing closer, I thought it was as good a time as any to have a relaxing weekend away from the stresses and strains of living in the city..

Loch Faskally
So, me and the boy decided to book a weekend away in Perthshire - an area I'd like to call my "Happy Place". We all have one; that one place which feels like arriving home whenever you step foot there. Having been visiting since I was 4 months old, it's not surprising why!

In autumn, especially, Perthshire is alight with amber tinged trees, making it the most beautiful time of the year to visit (in my opinion at least). Thousands of people flock to the area to experience the best of the Highland Perthshire Autumn Festival. Events including the Enchanted Forest (5th-27th October) make the most of the vibrant backdrop.
