I spent yesterday watching London Fashion Week shows from the comfort of my own home! Top of my list of must-watch-shows were Topshop Unique, and of course - Mulberry.
The quintessentially British heritage brand are one of my favourites, and I get a warm feeling whenever I watch one of their shows. Probably because it usually involves dogs walking down the catwalk..! (This time, fyi, a very handsome black poodle called Max!)
The AW13 theme revolved around inspiration from Britain's botanical gardens, nature & British folklore, with Woodland animals incorporated into the clothing.
"Inspirations include childhood fables, flower fairies and the magic of the night sky. Woven into the Autumn Winter 2013 story is an autumnal palette of colour. Oxblood, Midnight Blue and Black deepen classic Taupe and Camel. Flashes of jewel-like Emerald and Neon Yellow appear, alongside preppy Oxford Blue."
The show was even held in Claridges' ballroom - a grand opulent place which I love seeing ever since I got addicted to Inside Claridges.
Alongside the clothing (and dogs), of course, their classic bags were walked down the catwalk in military fashion, and they did NOT disappoint.. Here are two launches I liked:
|The Suffolk bag in Forest Green|
|The Willow Tote in Oxblood|
Oh yeah, and obviously the Chung looked immaculate carrying her namesake bag..
