A Summer's Day at Edinburgh Zoo

16 July 2013

After peering out the window last Saturday morning, it became clear that this was gonna be a scorching hot day at Edinburgh Zoo..!

So, here's what I got up to with my parents for my mum's birthday surprise..
After arriving at the Zoo, we wound our way around using the wee zoo map, and saw pretty much loads of sights. This is gonna be a mega image post, so apologies to your browsers in advance!

Wallabies
The penguins keeping cool under their umbrellas and hose pipe spray! Might have coooooo'd a lot at this!

Me chilling in the Penguins Rock enclosure..

Meerkat cuddles!
Impromptu snooze.. zzzzz..

Ladies & gents, my mum - the mad panda fan..! Can you tell we're related by the polka dots..?

Hill Top View at Edinburgh Zoo.. beautiful view of Edinburgh!
All in all, a super day at Edinburgh Zoo! I hadn't been since I was about 4 but have been to so many other zoos. Worth spending a wee day being a tourist in your own city, right? ALSO, I finally saw the pandas so my year is sorted.
Have you visited Edinburgh Zoo recently or gotten more into touring your own city this summer? Let me know in the comments below! :)
