Now, if you're anything like me - a twenty-something girl with a Space NK wishlist the length of her arm - you may be thinking, 'Crabtree & Evelyn', really..? Because, let's face it, my first thought when I received an invite from the brand to their event was "is this really a brand targeted at me?" However, Crabtree & Evelyn are in the midst of a brand rejuvenation.. having launched this new campaign entitled 'Handy Tips, Handed Down', they're on the hunt for beauty tips which us younger ladies have learned from our mums and grandmothers. An excellent plan, I think, given that most of us have a warm connection to the brand in some way or another when we think of the older women in our family. In fact, my last associated memory is of purchasing some lavender products for my grandmother in France! So! Let's take a look at their offerings..
Gillian first walked in to the Edinburgh store, we were greeted by Jamie from the brand who explained the new campaign to us, and encouraged us to think up some beauty tips we've been "handed down" from the women in our family, to be stuck up on the tree in the window display. When you go in-store and provide your tip, you'll be provided with an instant £5 voucher to be used in-store or online & entered into a competition to win a family photography experience worth £600! See more here.

After a little chat, we had a browse around the store & I sourced out the Gardeners range, which my mum had told me to scope out for my godmother as she's a big fan! As my godmother is currently battling cancer, we thought it'd be a fab treat for her to perk her up. Enriched with shea butter, the hand care range is great for those with work-tired hands (most associated with keen gardeners like my godmother!). Being a complete novice, the manager of the store gave me a quick explanation of the heritage of this particular range, and the differences you can can see between the heritage ranges and the newer ranges (e.g. English Honey & Peach Blossom and Pear & Pink Magnolia).
|How perfect is the men's range? I'd say they had my favourite packaging out of the whole store! One for my father's day list..|
After more of a browse, I spritzed some Rosewater products pretty much everywhere (haha) and realised I reaaally love that scent the most. I expected more of a powdery grandma scent, but it is much lighter and subtly floral than that. We were even contemplating picking up some of the Rosewater hand wash! So perfect.
Oh.. and GUESS WHAT? Yeah. They do FOOD at Crabtree & Evelyn. How did I not know this? I do now, so my God they'll be getting picked up for Christmas presents (shhhhh, don't tell my family). Look at THIS:
white chocolate & raspberry biscuits. WANT.
And they also do nail varnish and lip tints? This was a really eye-opening evening, that's for sure.. I'm gonna try out the colours I received in my goodie bag and see how they fare!
|The raspberry & vanilla cupcakes were delishhhh. Served on Crabtree & Evelyn paper plates, of course..|

All in all, it was a nice little evening. Thanks to Scott & Jamie for organising it, and I'll be popping back for gifts soon! Can't wait to pop my Pomegranate, Argan & Grapeseed Hand Therapy tube in my hand luggage for jetting off to Ibiza!
Oh.. and wanna know what my Handy Tip Handed Down was..?
"Immediately after climbing out of the bath, apply your body moisturiser as soon as possible in order to lock in moisture!"Thanks mum! ;)
What do you think of Crabtree & Evelyn? Will you now be remembering to pop in for some super-luxe hand treatments and smelly stuff?
