My Top 4 Winter Skincare Hydrating Products
So! I've covered some of the exciting parts of winter, what with cosying up in your best jammies; investing in a winter coat & playing about with the new beauty looks, but what about your winter parched skin? I thought I'd give you a little run-down of the skincare products that are rocking my world right now for their amazingly hydrating properties - and their glow-giving abilities!

The Wonder Toner

Caudalie's Eau de Beauté Elixir is a surefire skincare winner in anybody's books. The mini version (£11) has lasted me months, and that's after a lot of liberal spritzing each morning and night. Particularly in the morning, this is a saviour for my sleepy head. And, as for its hydrating benefits, this wonder toner is full to the brim with skin loving ingredients: extracts of grape, rosemary, orange blossom, rose, myrrh, organic balm mint. All of these ingredients come together to really battle the greying look your skin can take on in the winter time. Glow in a bottle!

The Hydrating Eye Cream

I picked up the Korres Wild Rose Eye Cream in the summer months and was adamant I'd save it for winter when the skin around my eyes is a bit drier and needing a creamier consistency as opposed to a gel-based eye treatment. This one does the job! With wild rose oil as the main ingredient, its natural vitamin c boost is meant to "repair fine lines and pigmentation disorders".. now, I can't comment on the effectiveness of that promise, but my under eyes feel nourished and smooth; a great base for eye makeup.

The 'Facial in a bottle' Face Oil

HELLO, Antipodes' Face Oil. Never did I think I'd be using the term 'OTL / One True Love', but this is as good a time as any. This stuff makes my skin take on that fresh post-facial feel that often feels out of reach. Coupled with my new facial massage obsession (I swear, follow Lisa's guide below and behold: nourished winter skincare!). A little drop goes far and don't be scared of really letting it sink in in the evenings under your night cream. I wouldn't recommend it for quick morning routines (I stick to a light serum instead), but for leisurely evening skincare to unwind before bedtime, this is your guy.

The Perfect Winter Moisturiser for Dry Skin

That headline says it all. Korres' Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturiser is my new favourite moisturiser (alongside that eye cream by them too!). I only use the liiiiiittlest amount, as my skin isn't crazy dry, but this stuff is incredible. I think it'll take me a long time to finish the tub because of how much a little amount packs a punch. If you suffer from dry skin, wild rose has long been recommended as a key ingredient to look for, so this is perfect for you. It's a very thick creamy consistency so, again, I prefer it for a night-time treat, but you'll really see the benefits into the next day. My skin has looked a lot smoother recently too!

  3. I'd love to try that Korres eye cream! I bought some of their shower gel free when I bought a product from a website and it smelled lovely.

  4. I've been using a cold cream for cleansing, which is super moisturising anyway, followed by a really heavy hydrating moisturiser by Pond's Institute. My skin literally has never looked so good :)

I always thought I had pretty oily skin so stayed away from heavy stuff. Boy was I wrong! Turns out my super dry skin was reacting badly cos it was UNDER-hydrated. Woops. xx
