Three Things #8: New Projects & A New Job

13 July 2015

Hey guys!

It's been a while, right? Sorry about that! I have a spontaneous burst of energy to let you in on what's been going on now that I've got 5 minutes to sit down and write it all down so, without further ado..

♥ I Started a New Website!

If you've not hear about it yet, me and my partner-in-crime Gillian set up a new website called Every Edinburgh. If you're an Edinburgh local, or perhaps hoping to pick up a few tips for your next visit to the 'Burgh, go check it out! It all happened pretty fast but we're really proud of our new little joint project and will be continuing to update it with days-out itineraries; 'A Day in the Life' guest posts by inspiring residents; spotlight on indie retailers; food and drink features; local beauty reviews and all things new and inspiring from across the city. Suffice to say, this one has taken up a lot of my time of late. The best day was when we trekked across Edinburgh whilst filming our launch trailer. Let me know what you think!

♥ I Got a New Job

If you hadn't read a previous post I wrote, you might not have heard that I lost my job earlier in the year. However, I've started a new one in communications and am settling in just now. It was a tough time of job hunting before this. Many nights were spent awake worrying and stressing out but, fortunately, it's all come together now and I can rest easy. I really have missed that triumphant moment of arriving home for the night after a long day at work - it makes you appreciate the small things, like popping on your comfiest pyjamas and getting into bed with another episode of Pretty Little Liars (yes, guys, I caved!)

♥ Love & Confidence

I've not been doing too well on the love front, so my self esteem has taken a beating. The past few years have been pretty disastrous for me in this area (it was funny to hear an old pal exclaim just as much the other night), so I'm in a slump. However, hopefully focusing on the things that are going right in my life - such as my new job and wonderful friends and family - will help a lot. I'd like to return to the optimistic romantic girl I was when I was 20 please!

And what about you? What have you been up to? Let me know!

  1. So proud of you girl. Xxxx

  2. Congrats on your job! I was in exactly the same position earlier this year so I know how you feel. Well done for persevering through!

  3. Amazing news on the job front - congratulations! Every Edinburgh has been looking amazing too, you two should be super proud xxx
