It's been a wee while, hasn't it? Well, I'm back once again (for the renegade master dududuuu). And this time I'm letting you follow me around as I spend a sunny Sunday afternoon in my old neighbourhood of Bruntsfield, Edinburgh visiting my favourite little cupcake café Cuckoo's Bakery. It involves red velvet cupcakes, rose lemonade, an Every Edinburgh brainstorming session and a new outfit. All with my partner-in-crime Gillian in tow, of course..
First off, I was lucky enough to be sent over the jeans and floaty kimono cardigan as part of George at ASDA's #JumpNJeans autumn campaign. As it's getting to that cross-seasonal stage in late summer where we're struggling with what to wear, I've selected what I'd pop on to make the most of the sunshine whilst keeping covered up from that looming cool breeze we'll no doubt be encountering in a couple of weeks' time. To be fair, I wasn't expecting miracles whilst browsing George's selection but it took me by surprise how glowing the reviews were for these Wonderfit Black Skinny Jeans. At a bargainous £20, these jeans had lots of happy customers saying how great the stretch was in them, whilst retaining that really great skinny fit. As a petite girl, their short leg length option really sold me too... something you'd expect, but which is really hard to find in a good pair of jeans! Hence why you're more likely to see me in a skater dress than a pair of jeans usually... blink and you'll miss it here!
The kimono cardigan - which I fortunately sized down to an 8-10 as recommended by the reviewers online - is lovely and floaty, and really worked well on the sunny day we happened to get in Edinburgh this past Sunday. I like that it matches my trusty Nica coral pink satchel bag... that little lady goes everywhere with me! All polished off with my pair of ol' faithful Duo boots, New Look cami, Topshop sunglasses and New Look triangle necklace.
What do you like popping on to keep warm when the cool autumn breeze inevitably makes its entrance?
