If you're anything like me, you love the feeling of picking up some shiny new stationery, particularly at the beginning of a new year or during that nostalgic 'back to school' time. There's just nothing like perfecting your neatest handwriting on a fresh new page, or cracking the spine of a fresh new notebook. So, since the end of last year, I've been picking up a few new bits and bobs I thought I'd share with you guys. I've mostly been inspired by the overwhelming feeling of a mass of paperwork I needed to sort out, pronto!
Psst, keep reading on to find out how you could become the next design superstar with Not On The High Street...
Rob Ryan - Rob is my favourite artist, which I've blabbed on about on here many a time, and his stationery is the perfect introduction to his work. Despite his fame nowadays, he still uses Etsy as a selling platform, so keep an eye out on his shop for the latest picks.
Oh Deer - I'm an avid fan of the regular Oh Deer newsletters - they're always a treasure trove of quirky gifts and stationery. With collaborations with ASOS and Urban Outfitters becoming the norm for them, they're definitely the place to go for trend-led pieces (think marble everything!).
Busy B - An Edinburgh local, Busy B are one of the most 'Laura' picks of the bunch here. In December, I launched myself into their 3 for 2 offer with new folders to organise my bank statements, old birthday cards, receipts and important letters. Because who says life admin has to look boring...?
Waterstones - Oh, Waterstones - the quintessential British failsafe. I've spent many an hour having a nosey around their shelves, rooting through their stationery selection. Definitely pop along if you're after a gift for a stationery-loving friend!
Not On The High Street - My wishlist on this site is getting out of hand... it's a good thing the lovely Thebridge & Taylor sent me their pretty little hand-printed copper Moleskine notebook* so I can tick one thing off my list! This lovely wee notebook is just the right size for popping in my handbag and taking along with me to make plans for the year ahead. Pop along to their shop for beautiful metallic and monochrome stationery - perfect for beautifying your desk and making Mondays less dreary.
